3 Cricketeers
“Feast on your curiousity and discover your new favorite snack. Chocolate, popcorn, and salty snack with a daring twist.”

Founded by Claire and Chad Simons, 3 Cricketeers is a family-run business that promotes sustainable snacking through cricket-based treats. Inspired by their son’s Earth Day cricket cookie, they launched an urban cricket farm and commercial kitchen in Saint Louis Park. Their snacks—like chocolate, popcorn, and baked goods—are packed with protein, prebiotic fiber, and nutrients like B12 and calcium.

Why We Love Them
Sustainable Snacking
3 Cricketeers is redefining snacking with a sustainable twist! We love their commitment to the planet and their creative, protein-packed treats made from crickets. Claire and Chad’s journey from a school project to a full-blown urban cricket farm is inspiring—and their snacks are as delicious as they are eco-friendly.
Meet the Maker
Chad & Claire
When Chad and Claire Simons’ son came home with a cricket cookie on Earth Day, he realized entomophagy could play a significant role in healing the planet, and he wanted to be part of the movement. After talking Claire into setting up a cricket habitat in their home’s basement, they all jumped on board, including their three boys. 3 Cricketeers were born! Claire began researching the nutritional benefits of eating crickets and was amazed by their nutritional profile. 80% of the world’s population eats insects as a form of protein. Here in the US, row crops and large livestock have become our primary source of food, and insects are known as pests. However, crickets are an indigenous food in North America and provide the essential nutrition we need. Containing prebiotic fiber to promote gut health, reduce inflammation, and boost immunity, crickets are truly a superfood. She immediately began to incorporate crickets into their family’s diet.
