Meet the Maker
Ted Jirele
Born in Little Falls, Minnesota, Jan Larsen Johnson and Rod Johnson were raised in the state’s Lake Country, where a family love for the outdoors shaped their early years. Surrounded by wild berries and seasonal fruit, they spent their time harvesting apples and plums and turning them into homemade jams, jellies, pies, and baked goods. After 35 years of crafting and sharing their artisan jams, Rod and Jan retired in 2024, passing the tradition on to new owner Ted Jirele, who continues the legacy with the same care and craftsmanship.
