Jacob Helstrom

Established in 1904 by Finnish immigrant Jacob Helstrom, the Helstrom Family Farm in Hibbing, Minnesota, has been passed down through generations, evolving from horse-drawn potato farming to a thriving, regenerative cattle operation. Through hardships like the 1920s recession and the 1980s farm crisis, the family remained rooted in the land. In recent decades, Mike and his son Jason transformed the farm by embracing sustainable, nature-led practices that restored soil health and biodiversity. Today, Helstrom Farm produces premium grass-fed beef, guided by a deep respect for the land, legacy, and livestock.
