What to Say in Your Corporate Gift Note (That Isn’t Boring)

September 8, 2025

So you’ve nailed the gift — it’s thoughtful, on-brand, maybe even locally sourced and snack-filled. Nice work.

But then comes the part that always trips people up: What the heck do we write on the card? “Happy Holidays!” feels… meh. “Thanks for your partnership” sounds like a corporate template. And “Best Wishes, The Team” might as well have been written by a robot.

Let’s change that.

At YouBetcha! Box, we’re big believers that the note is just as important as what’s in the box. It’s your chance to add warmth, personality, and a little sparkle of human-ness. Whether you’re sending a client gift, welcoming a new hire, or surprising your team, here’s how to say something that actually sounds like you.

Be Specific (Seriously, Skip the Generic Stuff)

Instead of “Thanks for everything,” say:

“We’re so grateful for your creativity and quick thinking during the campaign launch — you made the process a breeze!”

Call out a moment, a vibe, or a win. Specificity = sincerity.

Keep It Human, Not Robotic

You don’t need to sound like a corporate brochure. Try:

“We’re pumped to have you on board — can’t wait for what’s ahead!” “You’ve been such a bright spot for our team this year. Hope this brings a little joy your way!”

Casual is totally fine — just make sure it feels real, not rehearsed.

Match the Moment

Is this a celebration? A thank-you? A “we’re thinking of you”? Your note should match the tone of the gift.

Examples: 💼 After a project: “Couldn’t have done it without you — truly. Cheers to the next one!” 🌟 For a top client: “Your support means the world to us. Hope this gift adds a little joy to your day!” 👏 For your team: “Your hard work doesn’t go unnoticed. You’re the reason we crush it.”

Add Some Brand Personality

Your voice matters. If your brand is playful, let that show! If it’s all about warmth and care, lean into it.

Fun twist:

“This box was packed with Midwestern love and approximately 2.5 servings of gratitude.” “Think of this as a snack break sponsored by admiration.”

You don’t have to be a poet. Just be you.

Final Tip: Keep It Short and Sweet

You’re not writing a novel. A few thoughtful sentences go a long way. And if you don’t know what to say? Tell us the vibe, and we’ll help you write it — we do this kind of thing for fun.
